At the age of fifteen my love for melted chocolate led me to inventing the chocolate covered spoon and launching my first company. My mom and I worked tirelessly for many years selling my chocolate spoons to department stores and coffee shops all over the country. Two decades later, I decided it was time to embark on my next business venture, Sweet Peas & Stilettos.
The most valuable thing in my life today is time. I cherish the time I can spend with my family and friends. Unfortunately, as a busy working mom, there seems to be less and less of it. I know I am not alone. I decided to build this website to create a single location where modern women could go to get quick and easy access to all of the resources they want and need. I hope visitors are able to find tools and information to help them manage their family obligations and also to discover some little treats and treasures for themselves along the way.
I have written on the topics of work-life balance and entrepreneurship for The Women’s Conference® website, www.womensconference.org. The Women’s Conference® is the nation’s premier forum for women and was hosted for the last 7 years by former California First Lady Maria Shriver. I have also written on various topics for Learnvest, AboutOne, Jane has a Job, Betterfly, Dot Complicated and many other websites.
Though I have been fortunate enough to travel across the globe, I have spent my entire life living in California. I graduated from Stanford University and received my MBA from U.S.C.’s Marshall School of Business. I currently live in Saratoga with my husband and my little Sweet Pea.

Like many of you, in addition to loving chocolate and my son, I also have a long standing shoe obsession – hence the name Sweet Peas & Stilettos.
