Boppy
Great for nursing, but was invaluable with post labor hemorrhoids. I couldn’t sit for over a week after my first labor. The boppy was my salvation. The Boppy Newborn Lounger, which came out when I had my second child, was also fantastic. A good swaddle and his lounger and he’d sleep for HOURS.

The Petit Appetit Cookbook: Easy, Organic Recipes to Nurture Your Baby and Toddler
I didn’t make my own baby food for my first child, but with this book my second child rarely tasted jar baby food. The recipes were easy to follow and I was able to make them a week’s worth at a time easily. Plus I felt so much better about what I was giving him. I could control the flavor, I could control the texture, I could control the combinations of what I was giving him. Loved it! I didn’t bother buying special baby food making supplies. If you’ve got a Cuisinart, potato ricer or food mill you don’t need any of the other stuff. And I used my Avent breast milk storage cups that I no longer needed to store the portions in the freezer.

Diapers.com
Makes our lives infinitely easier by not having to go to the store for diapers, wipes, formula, diaper genie refills, etc. You get free shipping if you spend $50 or more, which is very easy when buying things by the case. And it arrives practically the day after you order. They are SO FAST!

Nature babycare eco-friendly diapers and wipes
The diapers are non-bleached like Seventh Generation, but the packaging is also biodegradable. The wipes are dryer than other brands I’ve tried, which I like. I don’t like soaking wet wipes. The wipes and the packaging are both biodegradable.

Aden + Anais muslin swaddling cloths
Pricey, but worth it. They are much bigger than the average swaddling cloths out there so you can get a really good burrito style wrap. And since they are light weight muslin (almost as light as cheese cloth) you’re not suffocating your baby in warmth. Especially nice if you have a baby in the summer.

Safety 1st Finger Pinch Guard
A very easy little foam guard to put on the door. Now that I have 2 toddlers that just LOVE trying to slam doors it’s a very inexpensive sanity helper.

A cuticle nipper and buffer block
I have never used any of those chunky baby nail clippers. I used them when my niece was a baby and felt like I always cut some skin along with her nails. A friend of mine who is a professional nanny gave me a cuticle nipper and told me it would be way easier to use and she was right. I can really get the little corners. And with a little buffing/filing block I soften the edges and they are good to go. Both my kids love getting “buffed” at the end. It also helps that I call cutting their nails a “Magic Mani/Pedi”. Add the word “magic” and they start listening.
