Best Homemade Baby Food

When my son was an infant I was so proud of the fact that I made his baby food. My poor child had 3 things to eat – broccoli, cauliflower and carrots. I steamed them up, put them in the blender, poured the mixture into ice cube trays and I was set. How I wish I had The Best Homemade Baby Food on the Planet! I feel like I totally denied him the opportunity to try so many yummy combinations that are still really easy to make. I was given this cool book a few weeks ago and even though my son is already 4 – I found things I was excited to make for him like the carrot-peanut butter spread and the avocado in the snow. The book is full of fun simple ideas that make you say, “Why didn’t I think of making that!” Busy moms will like the fact that most of the recipes can be made in 10 minutes or less.

Yes – the most important thing about a cookbook are the recipes. I know that. But this book is actually super cute too, on top of being chock full of information. The graphics, the font, the photographs, the colors, the design – it is first rate. It is a joy to read. If you have a little one at home, go grab a copy for yourself and if you have a girlfriend who is a harried new mom, pick one up for her too. She will love it.
