Back-to-school time seems to be all about labels these days. Labels labels everywhere! I am sure I am not the only mom who has been putting labels on her kids’ clothes, shoes, backpack, lunchbox, water bottle, PE uniform and soccer cleats. You want these labels to stick and stay put and not come off in the washing machine. But there are other times when you don’t want the label glued to your item. Like when you head over to the school potluck and you just want to make sure you get your casserole dish back. Or when you drop off a tray full of snacks to your child’s classroom and you hope to one day see your favorite tray again. Mabel’s Labels has created a line of dissolvable labels are perfect for potluck dishes, bottles for daycare, containers of leftovers, canning jars and much more. They are even freezer and microwave safe. When you no longer want or need the darn label, you simply pop your item into the dishwasher or put it under running water to rinse it right off. Wash Aways™ disappear completely, leaving no sticky residue. If only the same thing could be said for all of the super sticky monster truck stickers my son has put all over the windows in my car…

I will be the first to admit that planning beyond tomorrow just seems impossible these days. I have friends who are making plans for the Christmas holidays while I am still trying to enjoy the end of summer. And even though I don’t have a clue where my family is headed for Thanksgiving – I do know that Blurb has a ‘Thank You’ Sale going on right now. It is time to download your favorite summer pictures from your cell phone and create some fun photo books to give to your favorite family and friends as a little special thank you gift this holiday. Add a few special words including a special memory or a simple note of thanks to complete your custom photo book. Another fun idea would be to collect a bunch of your family’s favorite Thanksgiving recipes and include a few crazy pictures of your cousins and grandparents and create a keepsake everyone will treasure for generations to come. Make your books (hard copy or electronic) this weekend so you can take advantage of this special Thank You promotion and you can cross one more thing off of your to-do list. Enjoy 15% OFF your order now through Monday, September 9th, 2013.
Oh wait – I almost forgot – the promo code you will want to enter is TAKE15. Let me know what kind of book you end up making!

2013 will be here before you know it…..scary isn’t it! So now is the time to pick out your 2013 calendar so you can make sure you don’t miss any important dates. I am so excited that Minted has brought back calendars to their line of fabulous paper products. You can create your own one-of-a-kind high quality photo calendar that you can hang on your wall and enjoy all year long. These are not your basic, flimsy calendars. Minted’s calendars are designed by indie designers and printed on luxurious, matte paper and they have rounded corners which give them a more modern finish. You can choose between the Standard (8.5 x 11”, $29) or the Grand (11.5 x 14”, $39). They obviously make great gifts for family and friends alike, and of course you need to make one for yourself too…
Tiny Prints week at Sweet Peas & Stilettos continues with another great daily steal of a deal. All day today you can save 35% OFF Stamps & Embossers. I know you probably get a bunch of those free stickers in the mail with your address printed on them. I am not sure why so many people send those?? Anyhow, those are fine to use on bills, but these custom ink stamps are great on letters and invitations. You can pick one up to use on your holiday cards and then continue to use it all year long. And you don’t just have to make address stamps…how about one with your initial that you can use in books or on notepaper? And there is something very historic and beautiful about embossing. I haven’t used an embosser in a million years, it might be kind of fun to actually have one for my family. Go take a look and see what you think for yourself. They are both certainly great personalized holiday gifts. Keep on saving and I’ll have another great Tiny Prints deal for you tomorrow!
Oh one more thing – the promo code to save on the stamps and embossers is: CYBER1128 and the deal expires tonight. Wednesday, 11/28/12, at 11:59 pm PST.
Tiny Prints week on Sweet Peas & Stilettos continues with another fabulous daily deal. Today it is all about notebooks and they are 35% OFF all day today. Yes yes yes – I know we all have our iPhone and great online calendars and organizational tools, but I will be the first to admit that there is just something about paper, and pulling out a pen, and jotting down notes with real ink. These personalized notebooks from Tiny Prints are 5 x 8 inches so they should fit right into your tote bag. They also make great gifts for a wide variety of people. Here are a few ideas:
1) For children, you can create a book in their school colors and use a cute picture of your child with her best friends.
2) Grandma (or mom or your mother-in-law) would love a notebook with an adorable picture of her grandchildren.
3) Make notebooks for your girlfriends too. You don’t have to use a photo of people, maybe a picture of the beach, your favorite flowers, a bottle of wine, a cupcake, or your favorite pair of shoes.
4) And don’t forget to make a notebook for yourself!!
The 35% OFF sale ends tonight at midnight PST.
I just spotted these suede pouches in the new Lands’ End catalog and I just knew knew I had to share them with you. This was the first time I had really checked out the Lands’ End ‘Canvas’ Collection and I just found so many wonderful pieces for fall. If I had a little more time tonight I would go on and on about the colorful cords I want too….but I will stick to pouches this time around….
I keep my Louis Vuitton Neverfull totally organized by using pouches in all sizes and colors so I always know where to find my things. Chapsticks and hair bands are in the orange pouch and pens and business cards in the red one. Zip pouches are an incredibly practical way to keep things organized and make it really easy when you switch from bag to bag.
I love the feel of suede (who doesn’t??) and the Lands’ End Canvas collection of colors is perfect for fall – pumpkin spice, washed green (not shown) and pomegranate – so warm and pretty. These bags are available in two different sizes as well. You can use these fabulous suede zip pouches to organize your clutter, carry your tech, or use them as a little clutch on their own. When you are traveling, you can even use them to carry your beads and baubles. And at affordable Lands’ End prices, it is fine if you can’t pick just one favorite color.
Enjoy 35% Off Tiny Prints collection of custom self-inking stamps. Just use the promo code SEPTDOD to save now through tomorrow morning – Friday, September 6th at 8:59am PST. Sweet Peas & Stilettos has tons of more great organization tips and resources for busy moms. Come check them out.
I am a total organization junkie. I admit it. I love my calendar, my lists, my day planner, my post-it notes, my iPhone, my address book – everything. I have my own personal system to keep my family, my business and my life totally organized and running smoothly and I love it. It just works for me.
Do you need to coordinate the calendars for a house full of busy kids? Are you looking for a new tool to get your life in order? One of the most popular systems I have seen is momAgenda. It was developed by a super busy mom and she has continually expanded her amazing line of products. Besides being very practical and useful, she recently she added animal print covers to many items in her collection which made me very happy too! momAgenda organizers and day planners also come in this great selection of colors:
One of their most popular items is the momAgenda Desktop. It helps busy moms manage multiple calendars for up to four children (or three kids and a spouse!) and features helpful planning areas including vacation planning and party prep pages. Love that! Plus they include an accompanying momEssentials pamphlet where you can easily keep your family’s medical information, birthdays, websites and passwords all in one handy place instead of having your important info scattered all over the place.
And, best of all, in honor of Mother’s Day shop through May 6th and receive FREE SHIPPNG on all orders with promo code LOVEMOM. Surprise yourself or a fellow mom with the gift of organization!
2012 will be here before we know it and it is time to get organized. Okay…it is fine to wait until after Christmas if you want. I have scoured the web to find you tons of great day planners, calendars and agendas made just for busy women and moms. There are two items that I have found to be crazy popular – Erin Condren’s day planners at Tiny Prints (show above) and momAgenda. Check them both out and many many more. Be sure to tell me your favorites.
