Yesterday afternoon I was certainly one lucky girl. I was invited (thank you Rhonda!!) to attend a ModeWalk trunk show in Los Altos Hills where a portion of proceeds benefitted Samasource. I was so excited because I have been a huge fan of Modewalk from the time they launched and all of the gorgeous clothes and accessories they have in their online showrooms. In addition, I had recently read an article about Samasource and was totally inspired by the great work they had been doing all over the world. And behind each of these organizations are super smart, super chic women. Love that!
Do you love fashion? My freshman roommate from Stanford, Elaine, recently introduced me to Little Blue Frogs on Etsy and these adorable baby onesies and t-shirts designed by Jane Bahk. Jane took her love of pop-up books and found a creative way to capture the same sense of 3D images on children’s clothes. Each playful ‘surprise’ is hidden under a colorful image (records, hearts, clouds and more) that can be easily lifted by little fingers.

I’ve been married for 9 years and all of those fabulous wedding gifts we received for our kitchen are starting to lose their luster. I now have a kitchen full of chipped bowls and non-stick pans that have become super sticky. Kind of a bummer…. As much as I love the Kindle and iPad, there is something to be said for a good old fashion book. I actually miss bending down page corners before I put my book down.
