Graduation Announcements, Cards & Invitations
This selection of graduation announcement cards is a collection of my favorite cards that do not include a photograph. Sometimes you just don’t have the perfect photo or your child might be shy about having his photograph sent around the globe. A number of cards are available as traditional cards as well as in postcard versions too and of course are available in a number of great color combinations.

Graduation Announcement Cards & Invitations – Tips & Things to Consider
1 – How many cards should you order?
Graduating from school, regardless if it is junior high, high school, college or graduate school, is a really big deal and something you and your child should be incredibly proud of. It is okay to tell everyone the good news and send out lots of graduation announcements. The first list you may want to look at is your holiday or Christmas card list. These are likely friends and family you will want to send announcements to. Be sure to order extra cards for scrapbooks and photo albums. Talk to your child to see if she wants to send cards to her classmates too.
2 – What photo should you use?
If your child has a fabulous graduation photo go ahead and use it obviously. But a formal photograph is not necessary. Any great photo will do. The key is to pick a photograph that captures the essence of your kid. Maybe it is one of your son skateboarding, your daughter running track, or your twins in the marching band. A photo with a little personality is always a winner.
3 – How many photos do you want to include on your graduation announcement?
There are a number of great graduation announcement cards that have room for multiple photographs. I love it when people include photos of the graduate through the years. It is so fun to look back to see how your child has grown up. You can also do a series of photos in a single location. This is a great idea if you can think of a theme or favorite place that works for your child. If your son or daughter is graduating from a university with a beautiful campus it may be nice to include some architecture photos of the school along with great pictures of the graduate. If your child has a tight knit group of friends, go ahead and include one picture with all of them.
4 – Is it okay to send a graduation announcement even if you can’t invite everyone to the actual graduation ceremony?
Certainly. In this case you would simply not include the date, time and location of the graduation ceremony. In fact, you can even send the announcement out after the graduation ceremony has occurred. Remember that a graduation announcement is different from a graduation invitation.
5 – When should you send out graduation announcements or graduation invitations?
It is okay to send out graduation announcements whenever works for you. Ideally it would be great to get them out within 4-6 weeks after graduation day. If you are inviting people to the actual graduation ceremony, you want to give people ample time. For graduation invitations it is great to get them out 4-8 weeks prior to the big day.
6 – What if you and your child can’t decide on a graduation announcement card style?
With everything going on at graduation time, there is no reason to argue about what card to send out – simply order a few in different styles so everyone has some cards they love.
