Bridal Shower Invites Wording

When it comes time to come up with the wording for your party invitation it is best to start with the basics and go from there. A typical bridal invitation includes the following information:

1) the host(s)

2) the name of the bride (and the groom’s name too if it is a couples shower)

3) date

4) time (clearly start if there is a start & end time – ex. 2 to 4 pm)

5) location

6) R.S.V.P. information (I like to include both a phone and email option)

7) theme information (example: kitchen shower, tea party, etc.)

8 ) registry information (my mother told me it is not appropriate to include the registry information on the invitation and that the person who is receiving the RSVPs can provide the list of stores where the bride is registered if they are asked – personally, it seems like every invite I have received had the registry info included)

TIP – I also found that just reading the text on the sample invitations and jotting down little phrases or words that you like it really helpful.
