Project Peanut Butter

“Project Peanut Butter is a therapeutic feeding program for malnourished children in Malawi and Sierra Leone, on the continent of Africa. Their factory and medical teams serve thousands of children each year in rural villages in Malawi and Sierra Leone, transporting life-saving Ready-to-Use Therapeutic Food, doctors and nurses to remote locations at two week intervals until recovery occurs. Project Peanut Butter trains local health service workers to assess pediatric malnutrition levels, encourage local participation and assist teams of medical professionals on site visits.”

Quilts for Kids

Quilts for Kids, Inc. transforms donated and discontinued fabrics into quilts that comfort children with life threatening illnesses such as cancer & AIDS. They also gift quilts to children of abuse. They are an all volunteer charity with 50 chapters in 29 states as well as the Caribbean, and have gifted quilts to tens of thousands of children. They are always in need of volunteer quilters and fun child oriented fabrics.
